Japan’s World Cup comebacks
Japan suffered a 1-0 defeat to Costa Rica in Group but stunned both Germany and Spain after coming from behind in both games.
Japan head coach Hajime Moriyasu has made changes at the break that changed the scene in both matches.
Substitutes Ritsu Doan and Kaoru Mitoma have been key to Japan topping Group E.
Doan got the equaliser against Spain after replacing Take Kubo at half-time. Mitoma then set up Ao Tanaka to score the all-important winner against La Roja.
